Course outline

Administration aims

  • to prepare candidates for work in the specific vocational area of Administration
  • to provide opportunities for progression for candidates wishing to pursue the academic study of Courses in Administration

The Intermediate 2 external exam consists of 2 papers.

Paper 1 is a theory paper worth 40 marks and of 1 hour duration.  There are 2 sections to Paper 1:

  • Section A is based on stimulus material.  All questions are compulsory. The emphasis in this section is on contextualised problem solving.
  • Section B requires candidates to choose 2 from 3 structured questions.

Paper 2 is a practical paper worth 60 marks and of 1 hour 20 minutes duration.

Candidates will be presented with a business problem to be solved involving the use of spreadsheet, database and word processing applications with one task requiring integration.
