Administration aims
The Intermediate 1 external exam consists of one paper. The paper is of 1 hour 45 minutes duration. The practical section of the examination is worth 80 marks and 20 marks are theory. All theory questions are compulsory.

The Principal Assessor Report is published each year. It contains useful information about the exam, e.g. areas of the exam which candidates found difficult.
